Dolores Redondo

Dolores Redondo (Donostia-San Sebastián, 1969) is the author of the Baztán Trilogy, the most important Spanish literary phenomenon in recent years, which inaugurated a new genre in itself: mystic noir. Following the publication of the first installment in this trilogy, The Invisible Guardian (2013), critics welcomed Redondo as one of the most original and influential writers of the noir genre in Spain, and she has continued to hail great praise for her writing since. The three installments of this trilogy, The Invisible Guardian (2013), The Legacy of the Bones (2014) and Offering to the Storm (2014), have reached more than two and a half million loyal readers worldwide and their film adaptations are available worldwide on Netflix. The trilogy was followed by the standalone All This I Will Give to You (2016) with which she was awarded the Planeta Award and the prestigious Bancarella Award 2018 from Italian booksellers. A French TV series adapting the novel was launched on public French television in 2024 to great success and critical acclaim. In 2019 she published The North Face of the Heart, in which she returned to the Baztán universe. The novel was awarded with the Prix des Lectrices ELLE in France and is currently under development by Pure Fiction TV, the production company helmed by Tom Winchester, which is developing a returning, premium international TV series. In 2021, her debut novel, The Angel's Privileges, was reissued. In 2022, she began a new body of work with Awaiting the Flood, which was followed by Those Who Don’t Sleep NASH in 2024. Today, her works have been translated into 38 languages worldwide.
