Montse Barderi
Montse Barderi is a writer and gender studies specialist. In 2019 she was appointed Commissioner of the Teresa Pàmies Year by the Institució de les Lletres Catalanes and won the Prudenci Bertrana Award with the novel La memòria de l’aigua (The Memory of Water), published by Columna. In 2020, she published Manual d’amor aristotèlic per a dones del segle XXI (Manual of Aristotelic Love for 21st Century Women), published by Destino. She contributes monthly to El Punt Avui and also participates in the radio program Aquí amb Josep Cuní. She has been a member of the Philosophy and Gender board at the Universitat de Barcelona, and co-director of the X International Symposium of Philosophers IAPh. She is a founding trustee of the Maria-Mercè Marçal Foundation, part of the winning project eTwinning 2015 in the European field of Educating Cities, and currently serves as a jury member for the Prudenci Bertrana and Josep Pla literary awards. Her work has been translated into Italian, Romanian, and Portuguese.
