The Pontas logo wants to summarize what we do: to be a bridge between storytelling and cultures, between books and films.
These ancient Chinese pictograms date from 4,000 years ago. meant Sun, meant Tree and meant Half. However we can find these drawings in other writings, such as the Tuareg people, in the desert of the Sahara, where and are two letters of their alphabet. could also mean “a sitting person” or “the community” in Aboriginal Australian paintings. looks like the mythological symbol for the turtle in the drawings and carvings of the Pacific and is also the capital F in the Greek alphabet.
Therefore, our logo represents the mixture of cultures and languages in the world, at least in half of the world. Africa, Europe, Asia and Oceania are connected through these symbols, even if they were only ancient Chinese pictograms originally.
